The artistic collective Gilreu presents "Vestir a Sombra," a performative installation that celebrates the history and experiences of the local community in Penafiel. Inspired by the narratives of anonymous women who work on linen looms, the piece transforms these stories into a unique artistic experience. Under the artistic direction of Sandra Ramy, Sofia Marques de Aguiar, and Celia Ledon, the project is the result of a co-creation process with the local population, blending performance, visual arts, and collective memory. By exploring light, shadows, and materials, the installation connects ancestral and contemporary worlds, paying tribute to the dynamics and stories that shape the region's identity.
