ABOUT THE BRAND

Noir Mud Silk is a brand founded by Marcella Echavarria, dedicated to celebrating traditional Chinese Mud Silk.

The silk is produced through an artisanal process in which it is repeatedly exposed to sunlight, water, yam sap and iron-rich mud, creating its characteristic appearance and tones.

The traditional result is particularly distinctive: one side can be dark, almost black and subtly glossy, while the other tends to feature brown, rust or earthy tones with a more matte finish.

Its pieces are produced in limited editions, respecting the naturally limited availability of this rare textile.
